Letter to the patient

Dear patient,

I’m writing this letter with all my love and respect for you.
I want to inform you that prescriptions are not magically appear in the pharmacy. First, you need to order them getting in contact with your surgery or your pharmacy.

Remember! IF YOU DON’T LET ANYONE KNOW THAT YOU ARE RUNNING LOW ON YOUR TABLETS, NOBODY WILL KNOW AND YOUR MEDICATION WON’T BE READY TO BE PICKED UP AT YOUR PHARMACY!

Secondly, when you order your prescription it won’t instantly appear on the pharmacy shelves. It takes a few days for your order to be processed. It can take 2-3 WORKING days for your prescription to be ready.

Remember! IF YOU ORDER YOUR PRESCRIPTION FRIDAY NIGHT IT WON’T BE READY SATURDAY MORNING (GPs are not signing prescriptions during night time). IT WON’T BE READY MONDAY MORNING EITHER (most of the GPs don’t work weekends)!

Of course sometimes your prescription might take only one day to be processed, but that depends on the volume of prescriptions doctors have to sign.

Remember! YOU ARE NOT THE SINGLE PATIENT THAT REQUIRES MEDICATION! THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PRESCRIPTIONS WAITING TO BE SIGNED EVERY DAY!

With these coming holidays the volume of people demanding prescriptions is increasing dramatically, so please be patient and understand that we are doing everything in out power to provide you with the best service possible.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
